Valentine's Day Single Ladies Dinner

Longest title.  I know, but SO approprite because this night seemed never ending with DESSERTS!  So for all you foodies out there, here are so EASY (well some are easy) and really tasty desserts maybe you can try for yourself, your girlfriend, or boyfriend.  (Thank you so much Julie for these desserts)!

The SIX desserts were:
1. Raspberry Cheesecake
2. Key Lime Pie
3. Sugar Cookies with Strawberry filling
4. Chocolate Penutbutter bars
5. Chocolate Souffle (not easy to make...)
6. Ice cream and fruit in praline bowl. (my favorite--and fast to make)!

Here are some pictures that will make your mouth water for sure!

And these last two pictures aren't dessert as you can see--the pizza (homemade) was just delicious and part of our V-day feast, and the last picture is a cute picture of a seagull that I took while in Santa Barbara.

My House...My Food

Hello my loved ones.  A new day, a new blog about FOOD!  As I have said once in a while I may throw in a random pic, or news here and there, and today is one of those days.

Yesterday, the weather was so weird, as it was STORMING, and then when the storm decided to calm, created the weirdest colors in the sky!  So I took some pictures last night, and this morning to show you what the rain can do to our sky.

Because this blog is about food you know I must have a foody pic in here as well, and I do...
After a very relaxing massage there was nothing more that I wanted than a home-made, beautiful grilled-cheese sandwich.  And to add some fiber (you know what for) I had an orange as well...for questions and tips please comment.

Yes, I used the George--lean, mean, grilling machine!  And to end this bloggette, some more pictures from m balcony!  Much Love!  Gab.

Superbowl Sunday

This right here is pretty much the only reason I wanted the Saints to win.  KimKar (my twinsie) and her man who happens to be in the SAINTS. ---WHO DAT?  yeah....

Anyway another great aspect about superbowl sunday, besides the Doritos commercials, is the food.

YAY!  The entire reason for the being of this blog: food.  Because I was alone, being a girl, and not knowing a lot of girls who like football, I only made a small plat of food for my self but made some delicious treats.

I made bacon/date wraps and then had wheat thins with fine, colby-jack cheese.

It is very important to me that anything you see here on my blog you may want, I deliver the best I can.  My delicious appetizers turned out well, but I do have some tips for these easy treats.

The first very important step to making successful bacon wrapped dates is to first soak your toothpicks in room-temp water for about 5 min. This helps the date slide off easily when eating them. Second step is to cut your peices of bacon in half or in thirds...If you are like me and like CRISPY bacon, i would cut my bacon into thirds, so when it bakes you have a thinner piece to work with, which will then make it crispier. My bacon was a little too soft for my taste, as I only cut mine in half.

**If you have any questions please feel free to comment**

Much Love to you and hollllaaa <3>

PINK TACO

Yes. I said it. Pink Taco. This restaraunt is very famous here in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. Because of it's controversial name, and delicious food, there is no wondering why it gets so much attention.

Yesterday my fabulous friend and I both gave our Pink Taco V-Cards away in Los Angeles yesterday and had an unforgettable experience. Just picture it. Middle of the day, no one at the bar, the two of us drinking cheap, yet delicious margaritas (only $5.50--specialty margarita), and then the appetizers which were HUGE and only 6 dollars!!

The plus' to Pink Taco are: GREAT happy hour, great drinks, fast and friendly service! (plus you get to say you ate at Pink tacos...) There really were no negatives...

Gaby and Mauricio were happy campers at PINK TACO!
-I got the Nachos, and Mauricio got the quesadilla. There are pictures of both.
